Healthy Eats Magazine
The main objectives in designing this magazine include adding master items to their assigned master pages as well as applying the content to document pages. The structure was formed through utilizing multicolumns layout and applying images with the text flowing around.
Graphic Novel
In order to complete the graphic novel, many different elements were needed to fit all of the content in nicely. To start, images were added to their shaped graphics box. The textual content required bubbles to be formed, as well as paragraph styles to be utilized. The content conveyor was also needed to duplicate objects accordingly.
The beginning objectives were to import text and images from different applications, as the size and resolution needed to be adjusted to fit the pages correctly.
Graphic Novel
Much of the wording had to be imported from a separate source, so paragraph and text styles were used to build the structure for the textual content.
Magazine
Graphic Novel
in order to get all similar document elements to match one another on the final product, multiple master pages were required. Once the entire book was complete, the table of contents could be built.

Hobby Packet
A compilation ranking of all
of my favorite sitcoms designed
in a course at Illinois State.
The idea was to build out a magazine-style layout from scratch, utilizing all of the knowledge gained throughout college. Television and comedy have been big
parts of my development, so I decided to have my Packet revolve around my passion for the genre. The skills required to design the structure were typography and layering to fit the text and background correctly with the images, as well as altering the resolution of the images to fit the boxes clearly to allow for the text to flow around.
The Basement: Illinois State GCT
The entirety of this project couldn't have been made possible without the immense collaboration with the rest of the Graphic Communications students at Illinois State University.
I personally wrote the textual content on the Faculty profiles for the GCT major. I enjoyed every part of this, as i went to each teacher and interviewed them to learn a bit more about their backgrounds at Illinois State.
Due to my role on the editing team,
I took part in the review of different drafts that went into the booklet.
I also had the opportunity to structure the text in order to allow it to flow with the rest of
the content on the page.
This is another page that I had a part in structuring out and editing. There were multiple drafts of each page that I reviewed and altered, shifting around wording to allow it to sound more professional and easy to understand.
Everything went into this magazine was assembled over the course of a single semester, resulting in the first Volume for the production. Much of the content within was thought up recently, leaving our team to gather information without prior knowledge.
The last section of the magazine was built with little time to prepare, as it wasn't a piece of content originally assigned. Our team was responsible for the textual content, leaving us to efficiently write out the wording for the Scholarship Opportunities available.
As a part of the editing team for the creation of the Illinois State GCT magazine, my abilities were required in multiple different areas over the course of production. Each task, from editing to design, resulted in the growth of my skillset, as well as advancing my collaboration skills in the process.
